Vanlife Gear was started by me, Ben @MyOffGridProject after purchasing a Mercedes Sprinter campervan in may of 2022 and slowly making it my own to eventually live a life off the grid in vanlife.
When embarking on this adventure I had done countless hours of research into the essentials and equipment that goes into making a life on the road. It was then I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about the gear, equipment and items that have made my life easier and those I also thought were cool for van life and off-grid living. Hi, I’m Ben. I’m 24 years old and from the United Kingdom and since I was a teenager I have wanted to own a campervan and travel the UK and Europe. In 2022 after constantly searching the internet for van’s that I could one day dream of owning I found a van local to myself already converted and just needed some modern touches. This was then to be my 2007 Mercedes Sprinter MWB which I absolutely adore. I have owned the van for just over a year now and in this time have made some major changes and upgrades which I will be posting within the blog. Follow along to see what I have done and my plans for the future and what gear I will be bringing along the way!
